Given Sana’s extensive experience in a hospital with oncology patients, providing them with medications was the core of her job. Every month, patients who suffered from chronic illnesses such as diabetes and hypertension came for their treatments or refills. But she began to notice that none of them seemed to be able to get off their prescriptions. This is where her interest in functional medicine began: she never thought this could be the story of millions of people.

Sana believes that, in Functional Medicine, every individual is unique; No two people are treated the same way. In her experience, she noticed that not enough time was given to each patient individually. Patients were not being listened to, they were discarded, and they were not made a priority. Because of this, she made it her life’s work to make the patients feel important, supported, and validated. She also made sure that they were on proper health plans and given follow-ups.
